Mark Brothers of Churchville Talks Politics

The time has come that Churchville must deal with the one thing that was remain taboo “politics“.

The other day Mark Brothers was engaged in a conversation with the mayor about this very subject.  Everyone know’s what  is said to the mayor is never with out drama and at times excitement for the city’s gossip circle.    This conversation lit a fire under the mayor to make a name for himself on the national level and he has released this on his personal site which until this point he has used for city election and self promotion.   It is just about word for word what Mark told him.

The mayor is making a bid for a seat in the Senate next election and he has recruited Mark un be-announced  to Mark to be the brains behind his his bid.  Let’s just say the mayor quite possible has never had an original thought.  With that being said he is perfect for Chruchville as the women run the town for all practical  purposes.

The women of Churchville never pay the Mayor much attention unless they need something done around town.   He is a rather large man due to all the testing he does for the Church Cook Book.   The women keep feeding him as they enjoy running the town and using him as their tool to due so.  He has yet to figure this out, poor guy?

The Mayor The Churchville

Problem #1 we don’t teach economics.

Over 50% of Americans have no clue how different forms of government affect the economy of a society.  It is actually quite simple and can be historically proved.

Problem #2 Term limits.

We now have a ruling class. People are elected and spend most of their energy grabbing power and money for reelection. Many spend their entire career determining how the rest of us should live. They get huge salaries, special retirement, special healthcare, access to government assets, and that’s before the lobbyist give them kickbacks.

Problem #3 Racism.

What other answer can you give for Obama getting 93% of the black vote and 74% of the minority vote.
Problem # 4 voting has become too easy for people not invested in or knowledgeable of America.

This is not a Republican rant. I think all the bums should be thrown out. Our founders would surely be saying “We tried to warn you. “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, this alone will herald the end of the republic. Sell not liberty to purchase power”. – Benjamin Franklin

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds. – Samuel Adams

Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom. – John Adams

The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them. – Patrick Henry

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take everything you have. – Thomas Jefferson

Compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful & tyrannical. – Thomas Jefferson

It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently a free people. – James Madison

Day: 14 Krissy says what she thinks and challenges Natalie back

Day 14 contained a podcast which shook loose an idea I had been working on.  Not that I have not thought about or more accurately I was planning on doing video and audio but could not put my figure on the execution living in Churchville.  Now I see a way to add  audio to enhance the online Satire I am writing.  So THANK YOU Natalie!

Day 14: What are two key ways you could use the habits of a millionaire to monetize your blog in the next month?

1. Even giants start out small.  One day at a time backwards and forwards I will go learning and growing and before you know it you will have built something fabulous.  In my case my book will be published.

2. Things do not always take money.  So many people starting up a small business think they needs load and load of dough this is simple not always the case.   One of my golden rules is never ever pay for advertising!!! Why would any small business pay for advertising when so much FREE is available?  I will not lie having a pot of money moves things along faster but I have lived and witnessed so many businesses and  people who have money and waste it all with out ever figuring out truly how to make MONEY or better put PROFIT!

Being the lucky or unlucky person to have to decide when or when not to invest my Aunties money I get to see the waste when money is available.    Living in a small town I love seeing how frugal most are.  The farmers especially.

I am Krissy Carpenter and I love small towns and cowboys.   Living in a small town I am sheltered and frankly most are not concerned with what millionaires think or do.   I would like to ask the question how many of these millionaires are happy I mean really happy and in a forever relationship spend time with there kids.  Money does not buy you what is important.   Ok,that has been said and over said but yet we have not figured it out.

We talk about freedom and it feels as if its always tied to money.  I would like to challenge Natalie to talk more about just simply how to be happy with what you have.   Less about building a business but building the person if that happens the money will come.  Its always greener on the other side of the fence until you figure this out!

And that is all I have to say about that via Churchville the best place to live in the world!

Day 13: Visit Krissy Blogs Eat Create Design and for Lucky 13

Take a trip to Krissy’s Blog and let her know what you think.

Day 13: What three things would you most like your website to have and how will you go about getting them?

Let’s see what three things….hmmmm…1. Traffic 2. Blow your mind creativity to wow the traffic 3. Technology for ease of use for the traffic and if I could have 4. Visuals

First off a secret I learned along the way trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up is there is great talented  wordpress help in the Philippines and not only can you get a decent site build but you can do it for about $200+/-.   The best part about this is you are helping a 2nd world family put dinner on the table and pay for education.   I love that.  Please ask I am more than happy to refer anyone and everyone to who I work with.

1. No traffic no nothing!  Traffic is key to any business weather it be brick and mortar old school or online or or or….. everyone knows this already but few think or plan ahead before they build the their site ok most don’t plan or think about it.   I plan on gaining traffic in several different ways:  1. Social Networking tied in with Empire Ave  2. Back linking 3. Manual Posting and guest blogging 4. Other as I learn along the way I am testing this 30 day blog challenge with Natalie and it will be very interesting to see if all the traffic only moves in her direction or also in the contestants direction.

2. This comes naturally for me.  Being creative.

3. Technology on the other hand does not come naturally to me and I do my best to learn along with way.  Luckily there are so many automated tools, if that is the right word see I am not even sure of the right word to use when it comes to technology, that I plan on using to help my visitors get the most out of our their time visiting my site.  Coupled with Kyle who lives in the Philippines and is a word press all around computer geek.   Between the automation tools and Kyle I have number covered #3.

4. If I could have 4 Natalie said 3 but my 4 is visual and being a super type A I like photo stories and being able to learn visually so I would  buy a few great lens my Canon EOS Rebel T3i.

1. Super Close up type lens like a  Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 USM Macro

2. Zoom Lens to take photo’s at a distance like a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras.

Just look how pretty this lens is….Wow its totally on my Christmas list.

Day 12 Why am I special? Let me count the ways!

Natalie asks in her 30 day blog challenge on day 12:  What is your USP Unique Special Proposition that sets you apart from the crowd?

I am special because my Mom said so right?  I am special I can bake the best chocolate chip cookies on the planet and have an award to prove it.

What sets me apart from the crowd is a whole another ball of wax.  I have been called small town eccentric.  Why would a 22 year give a rat about small towns and the people living in them?  I am now 27 and I still love small towns they fascinate me.  The women living in them and the yarns they weave is better than any novel I have ever read.  The romantic tales they dream up for and about one another are at times 50 shades of gray hot.  By the way if you have not read that series I suggest you do it pure 100% entertainment.  I gave them to Mark to read we will see.   He laughed at me but I bet he is reading them.

Building a satirical city about a Church Cook Book seems to be my USP Unique Special Proposition.    At times I am not sure if I am me or Krissy?   or both?   Is Krissy me or I she?  Sounds like Dr Seuss doesn’t it.

Out of Order and Here is 11

I think I skipped this day and was planning on skipping it all together because it’s a bit boring and redundit and I had dinner with Mark and between that and this crazy town and the Zucchini bake thing…..well time ran short and I chose Zucchini over Natalie sorry my friend.  I owe you some Zucchini Cake the chocolate is best by far.

So Day 11: Which business model is best for you and what one revenue stream is most feasible?

The best business model for me living in Churchville is writing and marketing online courses to women in 2nd world countries.  Now I see why i skipped this question I am not nor never will be the type of person to just do one things.  So officially I take a pass on real answer to this question.

Instead I will share the best ever Chocolate Zucchini Cake Recipe in the world!

Chocolate Zucchini Cake

1 1/2 cups Flour

1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (not dutch pressed)

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg or allspice

1 1/4 cups sugar

1/2 cup plus 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

2 large eggs

1/2 tsp vanilla

3 cups Zucchini grated and squeezed dry

1 teaspoon honey

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter the bottom and sides of a 9-inch-square cake pan. Dust the pan with flour, tapping out the excess.

Toss 1/2 cup chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon flour in a small bowl. Whisk the remaining flour, the cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and nutmeg in a medium bowl; set aside.

Beat the sugar, 1/2 cup olive oil, the eggs and vanilla in a large bowl with a mixer on medium speed until smooth and pale, about 3 minutes. Add the flour-cocoa mixture; beat on low speed until combined, about 2 minutes (the batter will be thick). Add the zucchini and beat until combined, about 2 more minutes. Fold in the flour-coated chocolate chips with a wooden spoon.

Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes. Transfer to a rack and let cool completely.

Make the glaze: Combine the remaining 1/3 cup chocolate chips, 1 teaspoon olive oil and the honey in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium-high power in 30-second intervals, stirring, until the chocolate is melted. Spread over the cake, then cut into pieces.

Lucky 10 It Always Comes Down To Green Backs

Having traveled to small towns all across America meeting and interviewing people has given me overwhelming need to share what I have learned and experienced.   In addition to the book I am writing about a small town and the women specifically I plan to write e-course to help women living in 2nd world countries become more independent personally and financially.  Simply put  to help them enjoy life more.   I also will build a strong affiliate network on the blog site it write

To recap and answer the question bullet point style.   What are the key ways in which you want to make money online in your chosen business or which are the key online revenue streams you want to focus on in your existing business?

  1. Write market and sell online courses.
  2. Build a strong affiliate network.
  3. On site advertising
  4. Guest Speaking

And of course it always comes down to preparation, sharing and eating of food for me.  I find it very interesting how the women of Churchville have built a mini culture around food.  In fact I am working on an e-course right now called Pure Bliss the Enjoyment of Food.  With a little learning mixed in.  Only because I am really hungry as I write this I will share what I am about to make for breakfast.   Today I will also be  submitting this recipe to Sally Ray for the Church Cook Book.

Any Time Granola

4 cups old fashioned rolled oats

1 cup coconut (I always sneak a little extra in)

2 cups nuts roughly chopped (I prefer Almonds) any nuts you have on hand with the exception of cashews they need to go in after it has cooled.

Combine all above in a large bowl

¼ cup real maple syrup

¼ cup honey

6 Tbs Canola oil

2 tsp cinnamon

1 t vanilla

Combine and stir into oatmeal mixture

Using a large jelly roll pan with parchment paper, pour into pan.  Bake at 300º for 45 – 50 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.  Watch as once it starts browning it goes fast and when light brown take out and  cool.

Stir in any of the following died fruit once cooled:

Apricots, craisins, raisins, cherries, figs, dates, cashews and yes cashews need to go in after cooled they cannot be baked they will soften.

Thank you Grandma for always having this on hand in up north
